absent (in more ways than one) mom + (putting mama rose to shame) stage dad, child actress with more talent and looks than was probably good for her, seeing as she was bullied to hell and back for pulling too far ahead of the pack way too early. in some ways she's sort of like the best-case scenario for a modern-day gypsy rose lee, right down to the FUCK Y'ALL AND THIS POPSICLE STAND, I DO WHAT I WANT. but like, also neurotic as hell.[...]
Career
altogether just a terrifying creature to behold, as she's 75% of the way to an egot before the age of 40. (technically musical theatre got her the oscar, but her one tony so far is for a straight play. because she's apparently coming for audra mcdonald what with aiming to get nominated in all four actress categories.) the thing is though, it definitely looks like she... knows exactly HOW to gun for that elusive emmy. all shall love her and despair.
